Challenging the Misconceptions of Singleness...

Thanks for visiting! This Web site is for my book for Christian singles, The Single Truth.

I started writing it a couple years ago, frustrated with the lies about being single that seemed to pervade the Christian culture. Some of these lies we teach ourselves; some are suggested by friends, family, or church teachings; some are spoken deliberately with only the best intentions. You know, things like "There's someone out there for you!" (when God hasn't promised us marriage), or "When I was totally content, that's when I met my husband," (as in, God obviously has more to teach you).

While no one really denigrated my single position to my face, I had the uncomfortable suspicion that somehow I was less valuable to God because I was single -- I had messed up somehow, missed His ideal plan for my life. I felt somehow ... ashamed. And I felt stuck. So I set out to find the truth.
